Following the successful A Christmas Carol of last December, the Rialto Theatre is thrilled to be producing the ROCKY HORROR SHOW LIVE, a legendary rock n roll musical for Halloween. Performances will take place at the Rialto Theatre on October 29, 30 and 31st, 2011.
SINGERS. ACTORS AND DANCERS
We will be auditioning for singers, actors and dancers of all ages (18+) and ethnicities. We are looking to fill 7 main roles with 6 to 10 performers for the chorus. Performers will be remunerated with a small honorarium.
Rehearsal schedule for performers:
All rehearsals will occur every Mondays and Wednesdays evening beginning August 8 at the Rialto (if available).
There will be a rehearsal on Labor Day (September 5) and Thanksgiving (October 10). Expect to be having intensive rehearsals starting October 21st until the show (daytime and evenings). Everyone is expected to attend ALL rehearsals. A more precise schedule will be available shortly.
MUSICIANS
We are looking for 5 inspired musicians. Tenor Saxophone (Bb), electric guitar, electric bass, piano/synthesizer, drums and percussions.

Rehearsals should start mid-October, dates to be confirmed.
What to prepare?
You will be asked to learn a short choreography that we will show you – please dress accordingly. Expect to read a few lines from the script. For the singing part of the audition, you can bring your own MP3/Karaoke recording or be accompanied by your pianist. You may also sing a capella. Prepare 24 bars of two songs:
1) Rock Broadway repertoire or a rock song
2) A power ballad.
Roles
Male Lead #1 (Rock Tenor, 20s)
A youthful, handsome and wholesome young man.
Female Lead #1 (Mezzo or soprano who can belt it out, 20s)
A youthful, pretty and wholesome young woman. Great singer.
Male Lead #2 (Rock Tenor, 20-45)
A creepy, eccentric servant.
Female Lead #2 (Mezzo or soprano, tap dancer, 20s)
A misfit servant. Strong character actor, needs to tap and wail.
Male Lead #3 (Rock Baritone, 20s)
A young man with a great body.
Male Lead #4 and #5(Rock Tenor, 20-45)
A motorcycle rocker.
An older gentleman/scientist. STRONG character actor.
Female Lead #3 (Husky Rock/Alto, 20-45)
A very strange but sexy servant.
Chorus
Singers and actors of all ethnicities and body types, who are strong rock singers.
Dancing experience a must.
