AUDITION – DISNEY CRUISE LINE

Disney Cruise Line® is seeking talented and versatile musical theatre performers for Mainstage productions on our luxury cruise liners, the Disney Wonder®, Disney Magic®, and our newest ship, the Disney Dream®. Itineraries include the Mediterranean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska and the Caribbean.

Repertory casting for up to four original musical theatre style shows, including “Disney’s Believe”and “Villains Tonight”. Contracts begin in throughout 2011 and run for approximately 9 months with competitive weekly pay, room and board, guest sailing privileges and contract completion bonus.

Seeking the following roles:

Quasimodo/Lumiere/Bert – 20’s – 30′s, male. Tenor with loads of charm. Moves well.

Peter Pan: 20s, energetic male vocalist with youthful boyish charm.

Dr Cornelius T. Greenaway – mid-30’s and older, male actor/principal vocalist of any heritage. Baritone with strong comic ability and warmth. The prototypical dad, he loves his daughter but is consumed by his work as a scientific botanist. 5’11” and above.

Sophia Greenaway – young 20’s, female actress/principal vocalist of any heritage. Dr. Greenaway’ship, young daughter with a positive spirit, upbeat energy and lovely air about her. She loves her dad very much.

Naveen/Aladdin – late 20’s – 30’s, actor of Latin or Mediterranean heritage. Handsome, baritone/tenor. 5’11 and above.

Rafiki/Circle of Life Vocalist – Female actress/principal vocalist of African-heritage with a rich, soulful pop sound.

Genie/Hades – ageless, excellent comic actor/principal vocalist with improvisational skills. Strong bari-tenor to G. 5’11” and above.

Ursula/Fairy Godmother – early 30s and above, character actress who can play both the loopy and lovable Fairy Godmother (Soprano), as well Ursula (Belt/mix) from ‘The Little Mermaid’. At total ease working the crowd. Flirty yet fearless.

Merlin – 30’s and above, the oldest magician of all. Charming if rather bumbling and loopy. Strong character actor with nice baritone.

Jasmine/Pocahontas – early 20’s – 30’s, contemporary musical theatre/Disney princess sound.

Other Principal female roles – Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, Yzma.

Other Principal male roles – Prince Charming, Prince Phillip, Peter Pan, Kronk, Captain Hook.

Requirements:

• Performers must be at least 18 years old.
• Please provide a current headshot and resume
• Please prepare 16 bars a of musical selection and provide sheet music, in the correct key, for the accompanist. Prerecorded tracks or a cappella auditions are not allowed.
• Advanced registration is not required.
• Callbacks will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011.
